Conversations at Work: Volume I

I had the following "conversation" with a coworker yesterday.

Thinking Fool: Why don’t you button the buttons on your collar?
Coworker: Why would I do that?
Thinking Fool: Well, because there are buttons on your shirt specifically designed for you to button your collar.
Coworker: Well, there’s a rope over there in the corner. Why don’t you pick it up and go hang yourself?

Things are going quite well, I'd say.

OMG! That is very nice. I hope that the co-worker is on their way to make partner very quickly. That is classic. I have to start using that line with your permission of course...

Just curious, was this coworker wearing a tie or suit with the collared shirt? If so he (i assume) should absolutely button the collar down. Otherwise i believe that the unbuttoned look is better, although certainly more casual. What kind of dump do you work in that lawyers arn't wearing ties to work and further has random rope hanging from the ceiling around the office?

WAC - Permission granted.

Big Dong - The coworker was not wearing a suit, nor was he wearing a tie. Oh, and FYI, the unbuttoned look is not better. Glad I had the opportunity to correct you.
