“I didn’t think I’d get pregnant because it was my first time.”

“I’m not ashamed of my daughter at all – in fact, I’m proud of her for keeping her baby.”

~The twelve-year old girl’s mother, who is looking forward to becoming a grandmother

“I don’t usually advocate kidnapping, but if someone wants to swipe the unborn child as soon as it enters the world, you'd really be doing the kid a favor, especially if the mother plans to send the child to America to visit her Aunt Amber. In the alternative, who wants to join my pool predicting the age that the unborn child becomes a parent?”

oh, i read that same story - UNBELIEVABLE! i started reading and i knew it had to be a UK story - the UK media report on the most unusual things sometimes.

in any case, the part that i find most disgusting, aside from the disturbing issue of a child having a child, is that the girl smokes 20 cigs a day! um, hi. it might not be "affecting [your] pregnancy," but it sure is going to affect your kid! not that your kid won't already be royally screwed.

Fear not. The girl explained the cigarette issue. “I can give up smoking at any time, but I don’t find it affects my pregnancy."

As long as SHE finds that it doesn't affect her pregnancy, well, I mean, that means smoking doesn't affect it, right? This girl and her mom sound like candidates for a mental poverty program.

Sounds like the guy who continued to live at Chernobyl because he didn't believe there was any radiation. Asked how he knew it wasn't there, he said that he digged around his backyard and didn't find any of it, so it couldn't possibly be there. Some people deserve to die.
