as an expert on the mideast conflict I can tell you why Israel is the Yankees and the Arab states are like a team that really seemed to make no sense. None of those guys on the team were young enough to believe they had potential to make it to the big leagues. They were all 28 yr old minor leaguers playing in the independent league. The movie is phenomenal, the ending teach us that interracial love only brings problems because you can never trust whitie, but I digress.

Mideast Peace:
1) that sign is in English, Allah doesnt speak English, he is muslim, he speaks Arabic or Pharsee or Turkish.
2) America has Jesus. And since Israel would not exist as strongly without the support of America Allah is pretty much helpless. Remember, no one fucks with Jesus. (Big Lebowski, dance in a purple bowling jumpsuit)
3) Israel has a legitimate right to the region. No just lord would destroy a country that exists to allow a persecuted people a place to escape the outside world's overwhelming desire to destroy it.
4) Jews and Muslims are so similar that they are bound to hate each other. They see the flaws in one another that drive them crazy about themselves. Just like that sibling you hate, but you know deep down inside you cant run him over or eat his children.
5) Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. It supports American interests. It provides the world with scientific and economic innovations. The desert blooms. Before Israel you had sand and sand jockeys, now you have Jews and Mercedes.

Seriously... Want to read some crazy shit, check out the online version of the Guardian UK and their litany of commentaries BLASTING Israel for attacking Lebanon. Several of their columnists reffered to the Israeli State as a "Nazi Regime."

I would be concerned if anything the Europeans ever said mattered, but considering the rest of the world knows Europe is pretty much a big joke I remain confident cooler heads will prevail.

I love the reports saying that this is making Israel more unpopular in the middle east. More unpopular? How the fuck do you get more unpopular than "we plan to wipe you off the face of the earth and drive you into the sea?" Is there some sub-basement level of unpopularity I'm missing here? Like "We plan to burn you alive and skull-fuck your corpse" unpopular? or "We plan tear out your heart and shit in your chest cavity?" unpopular?

Really at this point the rest of the world except the U.S. has pretty much given the big F-U to Israel and are in a constant state of annoyance that they keep winning. If I were Israel the next city I would bomb is Paris, just ot listen to the squeals of exploding Frenchman.
