Necesito Interneto

1. It is incredibly difficult to maintain a blog if you don't have internet access at home. It is tough to get internet access at home if you work a full-time job. It is... well, you get the point. In any event, I'm working on it.

2. In the interim, go see The Departed. After two very crappy films, Scorsese is back!

3. If anyone knows why the Orange Line stations recently smelled like fifteen NFL teams urinated all over the floor, by all means, let me know.

4. Speaking of the Orange Line, to all you D.C.-Subway-Using-Red-Line-HATING people, what is your problem? The Red Line is to the Orange Line what Heidi Klum is to that lady with all the eye shadow on the Drew Carey Show.

5. When a plane crashes into a building and we find out that the pilot didn't call out to Allah in the final seconds of the flight, I'd say we received some good news, all things considered.

I cannot help you with the orange line, I had my own run-in with the blue line while "riding" it (a little drunk but how else am I to deal with it?) after my football game on Sunday. Lets just say, I will be driving to work.

Also, I find it to be great news that the Yankees pitcher isn't enveloped in some sort of terrorist plot.

:)

As my boss said, 'As soon as I heard it was a member of the Yankees, I knew it wasn't a terrorist. If it had been a Met, that's a different story'

As for the Orange Line...it sucks in Chicago.

The problem with the red line is this. The red line serves Bethesda, Rockville and Takoma Park. People in these areas tend to be wealthier, more successful and, well, better than other people. It is absurd that they should have to suffer delays and overcrowding like the rest of the serfs in the DC-metropolitan area.

Do you know who these people are?
Do you know who their fathers are?

If the government is unwilling to fix up the metro service and stations of the best and most importantly, wealthiest folk in the DC area, what has this world come to?

heh, i was just going to ask, what's all the fuss about the red line? i've never heard any complaints.

until now. is it really that much worse, OE?

Heh..my sister lives in DC and is always telling me how the Metro breaks down every day.

And yeah, I'm glad nobody in the building was killed by that plane.

Dude, after living on the Green Line, *anything* looks like Heidi Klum.

I like the Red Line...because it doesn't go to Virginia. :p

Meg, You are correct (and witty) on both counts. Well done.

I've heard the blue line is the best, but considering that the red line doesn't have to share tracks with any other line, my money is with the color known in spanish as ROJO. Or is it roja? Hmm...

Posted by: Fool at October 14, 2006 04:40 PM

rojo. it's rojo. :)

Ah...Red Line Rules...poor fellow, I could have warned you about the Metro to VA but you didn't seek my input... The Red Line is a Rolls Royce compared to the VA lines... I know this from a friend who hasn't stopped complaining about her commute in 6 years.
