Maybe they Shouldn't wear Anything

Why is it such a big deal if two women attend the same social function wearing the same dress? Fifty men can wear the same suit to a ball and no one gives a crap. Yet the First Lady and three other women show up at a gala wearing the same red dress and the media make it sound so controversial that you'd expect to learn that all four women retired to the Lincoln bedroom to engage in a game of How many mouths can touch the President's pecker at the same time?!

I didn’t get why it was a big deal when Brenda and Kelly wanted to wear the same dress to the prom on Beverly Hills 90210, and I sure as hell don’t understand why it’s a big deal when a bunch of middle aged women with more money than the entire country of Ghana show up at a social function in outfits that each other clearly think are nice.

Of course you dont understand it. You arent a woman. As a woman I lack all reason and rationality. But, I also want to be seen as a princess when I dress up for the evening. I want to be gushed over and admired separate from everyone else. A man, who has reason and is rational, doesnt care about this, he just wants to look good. He only wants to stick out for his accomplishments or for being so damn good looking that it doesnt matter if everyone is wearing the same thing; like that jewish boy in san francisco who used to go to law school on the east coast and hates asians. He is hot.

The solution could be to make your own clothes. Or shop in thrift stores only.

TF, would you *really* prefer that barbara bush not wear anything?

also, i think the whole hullabaloo was partially attributable to the fact that those two other women had the sheer *audacity* not to check with their aides and barbara bush's lackeys to make sure they didn't wear the same thing as the first lady. personally, i wish more women had worn the same outfit -- it'd have shown an appropriate amount of disrespect.
