No Dentists, No (Good) Food, No Official Plane?
Did you hear about the British Airways flight that broke two runway lights in Miami yesterday? British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his family were on that flight. My question is: "Why?"
Doesn't the U.K. have its own version of Air Force One? If not, why the hell not? This is Great Britain, not Somalia or Iraq or Sri Lanka. Surely the leader of the British government deserves better than a commercial flight out of Heathrow.
Comments
Perhaps it is more economical to fly the Prime Minister around on commercial flights.
Perhaps Americans should really be protesting our tax dollars being spent on AF1, AF2, and assorted things around Andrews AF Base.
Perhaps they used to have a private jet, but lost it in the bet over whether or not Saddam wore women's underwear because he "liked the silky smooth feel".
Maybe we'll just never know. *sigh*

don't be so sure.
i'm guessing that tony blair just wants to feel more connected with "the people."

Well, he was with his family, and maybe he flew commercial to avoid any perception of using government funds for a personal purpose.
That, and maybe the British equivalent of Air Force One is reserved for the royals.

I think Tony Blair is hot. Unfortunately I don't believe he is circumsized.
