Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow
Looking outside before heading to bed and seeing snow fall from the sky: Hopeful.
Looking outside after waking up and knowing that there's not enough snow to close the federal government: DOH!

It is sad that as an adult working for the Federal Government I am just as excited about snow days as when I was a kid.

How much snow does it take to close down the federal government? 2 inches? 3?
Or is it more of a groundhog day like test, in which the federal government closes if and when Speaker Pelosi's emerges from her hole and if her face freezes in a happy emotion, the government closes...

Make it your own snow day. You are in DC, black people hate snow. None of the support staff will be at work. On the plus side, you wont be harrassed for money on your way to work.
I am not being a racist, for halloween I dressed up as Serena Williams, so, I know what it is like to be a black woman.

over_educated, Could tomorrow or Wednesday give us our first "snow day" of 2007? We can only hope!
namby, the government closes when Pelosi can't move her face.
pretty, what do I say to that?
teahouse, in-house counsel seems like a pretty good gig to me!
LisaB, Your brothers and sisters to your north are certainly getting their fair share!

Of course it wasn't a snow day... There neds to be fire raining from the sky for that to happen.
On my way into work I saw no less than 2 overturned cars and I couldn't help wondering: Were those Federal employees?
I came into the office and I was the ONLY person there until the late afternoon when my boss showed. It was kind of worth it just for that, as I think it gaev him the (completely false) impression that I was a dedicated employee.
