And Now to Lead Us in Prayer, I Present to You, the Chancellor

So I was thinking, this weekend’s graduation ceremony at Liberty University is obviously going to be saturated with sadness given Reverend Jerry Falwell’s death yesterday. (I think I’m one of the few non-Evangelicals who isn’t happy that this man died. I didn’t particularly care for a lot of his political beliefs, but a serial killer he wasn’t.) As the school’s chancellor, he certainly would have played a major role throughout commencement weekend. Thus, to help students and parents deal with the pain and to ensure that Falwell’s spirit will be with the Liberty family, I thought that perhaps the school should hire an impressionist to play the role of Falwell all weekend. That way, he’d still sort of be there, even if he’s dead. Could be a helpful transition period to help people cope. As Professor Honigsberg would ask, “Good Ideeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeea?”

that is a fantastic idea, but hvae the impressionist be like the black version of him. The inverse of darth vader, take off that helmet and there is an old scarred black shakespearean actor who happened to have teh voice of barney fife, or something.

Of course I am not happy the man died, he had views I hated, but he lead true believers who only wanted the world to be the way they envisioned it.

Fool, pardon the non-sequitor, but I was scrolling through you recent blogs when I saw your movie review for disturbia. I will most certainly see Disturbia based upon your glowing recommendation. In return for the kindness of posting your review, I must implore you to avoid the new Spider Man movie at all cost! SPIDER MAN 3 IS A FLAMING PILE OF SHIT! There's all-together too much dancing, singing and weeping for anyone to tolerate in a supposed action movie. My theory is that somehow the writers from the previous two Spider Man movies were sacked and replaced with emotionally overwrought under-talented writers from the Lifetime or WE networks. Considering the movie in the context of is genre, I must say that Spider Man3 sucked more than both the Batman movies starring Val Kilmer (which was itself total feces) and George Clooney (more feces, this of the green and yellow soupy variety). Consider yourself warned.

Fool, I must implore you to ignore Wiseazzz, who clearly know nothing about movies. Spider-Man 3 was excellent; not as good as Spider-Man 2, but about the equivalent of the first. It deserves to be compared to the bad Batman movies like steak deserves to be compared to horse feces.

pretty, What a BRILLIANT idea!

Wiseazzz, Let me know how you enjoy Disturbia. You couldn't pay me to see Spiderman 3. I actually thought the second one was horrible. The third one just looks dreadful.

Philosofer, Based on the above, you're an idiot. ;-)

At the end of Spiderman 3 all I could think of was, how do I get my 10 bucks back. I wanted to ride a bus ala kenny and stan to dunst's mansion and do naughty things to pictures of her in an interview with a vampire.

I remember Falwell most from the underrated and the under the radar movie introducing Andy Kaufman to film, In G.o.d We Tru$t. Kaufman plays a Falwell type of character or at least how I perceived Falwell, or maybe that's pat robertson. Did they both die?

So, I think we should mourn the passing of pat robertson and jerry falwell. Suredly, a new group of charismatic evil doers will emerge to preach the gospel of love and exclusion. It is a dream job of mine second only to pope.

I dont really understand why I hated falwell so much. Maybe it is because I couldnt get into liberty law. He spoke what he believed. He just had a lot of people who agreed with what he beleived and a machine behind him to get his message out.

Fool, please ban philosovak from posting until he apologizes for the pain he has caused me, I saw the film based on his reccomendation on his blog on may 7th. The hate I feel towards him and all that he believes is similar to the hate one feels when eating a steak and horse feces or however that comparison works.

Jerry Falwell was nutso.

But I'm praying for his soul.

Oh come on. For anyone who ever read the Spider-Man comics, the third one was a blast.

My Southern Mama taught me if you can't say anything nice than be quiet.

My lip is zipped ;-)

Love the Honigsberg reference. That guy was as nuts as Sakai.
