The Supreme Mind (Obviously Not Describing myself here!)

On Saturday, D.C. hosted a triathlon. Next year, I propose that Baltimore host the event instead. The District’s roadways already seem like they were designed by a mentally-challenged fourth grader who won some sort of city planning contest. Making getting around on a Saturday morning more difficult than getting around during the weekday rush hours is crazier than a judge saying, “I think the kids will be better off with Kevin Federline.”

Do you like ANY of the presidential candidates? I wish Newt would run. At least he’d bring some innovative ideas to the table. I wish Gore would run too. I also wish I had a graham cracker, marshmallow, and piece of chocolate right now.

Like him or hate him, Justice Scalia is clearly the most entertaining Supreme Court Justice. Justice Breyer is the second most entertaining. Justice Alito wins the “You Look Even More Disheveled in Person than You Do on Television” award.

I searched and searched and searched and searched, but couldn’t find any relevant information about the following, so here’s my public service announcement for the month. If you want to attend an oral argument at the Supreme Court and are trying to figure out how early to get there to ensure that you actually get in the courtroom, my experience demonstrates that for your run-of-the-mill cases, arriving in front of the building at 7:30 ought to get you in for the first argument. (If you want to play it safe, get there by 7:00, and for extra protection, you might as well bring a condom! After all, you never know if Clarence T will try something! Actually, I’m curious. What do you think of Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill all these years after the fact? Sometimes, I think he’s lying; sometimes, I think she is lying. Today, I think she’s the fibber. Regardless of who told the truth, one thing is certain – either he’s a sick fuck, or she is. Frankly, if it’s the former, I’d love to play poker with the man! I'd just make sure we had Pepsi, not Coke.)

I'm one of those freaks who likes Hillary Clinton. Why you ask? Because she is the only Democrat in the field who isn't a COMPLETE pussy. Seriously, the problem the Dems have had for years is they let the conservatives frame the debate and don't react to attacks quickly enough. I have no such issues with Hillary, who I am certain will have her lackeys pounce on critics like a pack of rabid junk-yard dogs.

Over_educated is a moron.

Clearly he was the jerk. We we discussed this whole event in law school, and wow..there was a lot of stuff that the media hadn't reported at the time, that are pretty damning to him. And to talk trash about her now in his book years later..well, that's just tacky. He won; why is he rehashing??

I'm inclined to agree with THB; perhaps he doth protest too much. Maybe it's a case where the truth is somewhere in between. I dunno.

Regarding the presidential candidates, I can say that at this point I actually like Biden. I think he's probably the smartest guy running, and after this guy, that's what I think we need. People who like Obama because he's "something different/something new" need to wake up and smell the political B.S. they're buying.

Leaf,

Care to elaborate, or do you find sentences of greater than four words too difficult to string together?

Posted by: over_educated at October 5, 2007 07:49 AM

I dont understand how any rational person can vote for a woman, a terrorist or an illegal immigrant.

America's mayor as our next president; him or the trial attorney.

Leaf's comment was more of an omage to Justice Thomas, he does not need to explain himself, he has voiced his opinion and therefore that is what it is. The only way Leaf could have been more accurate was Educated is a moron as argued by my fellow justice, pretty. See woman as president as argument enough for your moronacy.

My vote goes to Hillary because I think we need a universal health care system in this country and I want to be able to quit my job without worry about not having health insurance.

Posted by: Ming the Merciless at October 6, 2007 12:21 AM

Yeah, but Hillary hasn't actually proposed a universal health care system, she's just proposed that everyone has to purchase one of the ridiculously over-priced plans offered by insurance companies that will suddenly be selling a product mandated by law, instead of an optional product. Which of course means they can cut services and increase prices/co-pays/co-insurance, because you're obligated to give them money for their crummy product.

If we're gonna go to a universal health care system, we should go to one that actually provides people with health care coverage, ala, expand medicaid to cover all people.
