"Hello, Papa Fool? This is Thinking Fool!"
On my recent trip back to the District of Columbia from the paradise that is Southern California, I got stuck in the Phoenix airport for three hours because, well, who the hell really knows why; point is, I was stuck. I called Papa Fool shortly after I learned of the delay to report the news. He told me he had some business meetings scheduled, but would see if he could get out of them and come to the airport to take me to lunch. Three hours later, I called him back.
Papa Fool: Hello.
Thinking Fool: Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I’m about to get on the plane, so I don’t know if you’re still planning on taking me to lunch, but I can’t go.
Papa Fool: (Laughing) You know, I’m actually meeting with a client right now, but I don’t care if he hears me say this or not. You’re my son, and you’re an asshole.
Thinking Fool: (Laughing) Well, I just thought I should let you know. Didn’t want to put you out.
Papa Fool: Have a safe flight. Call me when you get there.
Thinking Fool: Will do. I love you.
Papa Fool: I love you too.
Apparently, the client signed up on the spot!

every time i read "papa fool", i *really* see "papa smurf". so i imagine your dad is blue. with a white beard.

Nope, Papa Fool isn't blue; he's a white beard-less man. Unlike his son, Papa Fool can (and does) get tan! I'm sure like his son, he has an enormous penis, but that's really just speculation on my part. ;-)
