« Public Service Annoucement | Main | Charlie Gibson and Sarah Palin: The Stuff They Will Not Tell You »

Wow! September is Half Over! (That was fast!)
I do NOT want Sarah Palin to be President of the United States. Let's face it, folks. She just doesn’t have the experience. In that regard, she’s very similar to Barack Obama. Say what you want, but at least the Republicans have the experienced one at the top of the ticket. Obama is incredibly inspirational, but he seems better suited for a Vice Presidential slot right now.
Apparently Lehman Brothers is going to file Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Will the government save that company’s ass too? Shouldn’t a company be allowed to fail once in awhile without Uncle Sam playing the doting parent who steps in and tries to fix everything? There are winners and losers in capitalism – seems like our government is unwilling to actually let there be some losers.
If you like good movies, you should make a trip to your local theater soon! More on that later in the week…

No, the government is ok with there being losers, they just aren't ok with those losers being people who have a lot of money.

However, unlike Obama, Palin does not strike me as someone who has the capacity to grow into the role of president in a short time. Obama is inspirational and he's also really effing intelligent. Palin, however, seems more like the common person, like someone you'd have a beer with while you imagine fondling her creamy-smooth D-Cups. We've seen enough of Presidents with average (generous) intelligence. Plus, a vote for McCain is essentially a vote for Palin as president. . . just check the actuarial/ mortality tables.

Actuarial/mortality tables account for everyone, including lifelong smokers, those in bad health, already on their way out, without health care, etc. Throw in McCain's already passable health and a top team of doctors, and you're well beyond the actuarial predictions. I wouldn't bet on him not dying, but you'd have to give me good odds to bet that he will.

Isn't the doting parent role the main point of the US government? Here's some fighting words....if this country didn't feel the need to lead, fix, or rule everything, we wouldn't be in Iraq. Capitalism worked for a while, but now it's over.
